A snow park!

I really have never ever been to the park when it was so snowy outside and cold. Neither have my kids, so I guess it was a new experience for all! Isaac loved it and I didn't have a snow bib for Isaac and his pants got all wet. He didn't seem to care at all. He just wanted to touch it and lay in it all the time.

This has been the weather lately in Michigan, cold and snowy. I am glad that the sun hasn't been hiding as much as it did last winter. Cali has been saying the cutest prayers lately. She has been adding in her own requests of blessing Daddy to bring her home a sucker or some dougnuts. We like to call that wishful thinking.

I am so glad that Cali and Isaac are playing together much better. And Isaac still eats everything!

Cali loves playing with her friend Ali. She just adores her and asks if she can come over and play everyday. Well, Ali got to come over and play the other day and Cali had way too much fun!

Wise Man

Cali was watching her morning cartoons on PBS and I don't remember which show it was, but it was talking about how you can be anything when you grow up. I then turned to Cali and asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. Cali thought for a minute and said, "a wise man". Apparently she wants to be smart. I agreed that was a great thing to be!

Happy New Year!!

It's a brand new year, 2010!!! I can't wait for what the future has instore for me this year, and also can't wait to have this year become of what I make it myself! With many new years resolutions to be more productive in a day, exercise more, eat healthier, and be a little kinder and less impatient, I hope to find a better me! So.......bring it on 2010!!!

Christmas Eve....

I was so happy to have good friends these past few holidays with out having family around. Christmas Eve I was able to celebrate since Isaac is now one years old and it was fun going over to the Whites next door and eat some yummy mexican food and play the white elephant game. Thanks Amie and Mike for putting that on at your house!

Our Christmas this year was a fun surprise to have Scotty home by 8:00am. He left really early to do rounds because he was on-call and came back when the kids and I were still in bed. We all got up and had a wonderful Christmas day together as a family!Cali got her carebear she has been asking for from Santa. This is what Canton, Michigan looked like Christmas morning.

Happy Birthday Isaac!

Isaac turned one years old. Yes, the little rascal that thinks he is big enough to do anything has had a birthday. Isaac definitely loved the cupcake as you see it all over his face. I can't believe it's been a year since he was born, it went by all too fast. I love him so much and he really laughs more than any baby I have ever known, it's the cutest thing. Isaac says thanks for his birthday presents and loves playing with all of them!

Our Cali princess..

Cali is now going on the potty and telling me when she has to go! I am so thrilled of her progress and she dances when Mommy is happy!

It has been so nice this week to have Scotty home for three days in a row. We spent much time shopping and playing with the kids during our break and Cali is talking so much more. She has started the (Why?) phase, asking questions left and right. The other day in the car I was talking to Cali about Heavenly Father and Jesus and how they can here us when we pray. She was asking me where they are and why can't she see them. Then she asked when are they coming? I then just said I don't know when Jesus will come again, why don't you ask them. She was silent for a minute and then we heard from the back of the car really loud, (Calling), "JESUS.......Where are you.....?". Scotty and I just smiled.

Today Scotty and I were talking about when residency is done and Scotty can start at a hospital in Az and we could tell that Cali was listening and wanting to join in the conversation as well. Cali then asked Scotty, "Why work"? We then said that Daddy needed to work to get money to buy food. Cali then said, "Yeah, and when I get hurt, I can go to the hospital and get money to buy food too". She is so cute!

Where is Isaac?

Ok, so Cali was never like this. She got into some stuff, but Isaac is out of control. He is on top of, into, and eating everything that is anything. Here is Isaac at his best!

wait, do we have a mouse?
No, Isaac has been snacking again.....

And here he got up onto the bathroom counter so he could try to brush his teeth like Cali, I sure do love my boy!
