Memories never to forget

My sweet little two year old has become quite the big girl these past few weeks. She has started preschool, gone to the bathroom on the potty (once), and learned how to hide her toys from Isaac. I am so proud of her and how she tries her best to help me clean up around the house. She now loves to cut and paste little scraps of paper on her own, and play GO FISH. I can't believe she is getting so big, (way too fast), right before my eyes. As I was looking at pictures from last Fall, I saw a little girl who had just started nursery. Now she says things like, "Hurry up mommy pie", and "Where you going"?, (but what she really means is "WHat are you doing"?). It's so funny.....

And so,,, I just wanted to say to all you young mothers out there,,,,Enjoy every moment with your little ones!(And I will too)!

Cali gets smarter everyday.

Every day I ask Cali if she wants to go on the potty, and she says "no" , which is pretty much her normal response. Even if I say she can wear big girl's underwear like her friend Ali and any treat she wants, like gum, which is her new favorite, but i can't get her excited to try. I know she will get there eventually but really, how long do I need to change two kid's diapers everyday.
Well, the other day I asked if she had pooped and she said "no". I then checked and it was stinky, and I said, "Cali, you lied to me". She then replied, "Mom, I just teasing"! I had to laugh.

Isaac's new favorite spot, because Cali is always standing on this stool to watch me make dinner.

More fun at the beach in Mexico!

Isaac loves cheerios and pretty much anything that is food. He now squawks anytime he sees somebody eating.

Cali loved to eat them as she picked and it was a little early in the season, so there weren't as many, but it was still lots of fun.

We went down to Mexico real quick when we were in Az for my sister in-law,Syrell's wedding (which I will hopefully have some pictures of soon), and it was a quick trip but lot's of fun! Cali will actually remember this trip to the beach, because she was only two months old when she went to Mexico last. My sister-in-law Tiffany and her adorable little girl, Savanna. Isaac and Savanna are only a month apart, and will have fun playing together.

My friends and I went to the park in Plymouth where they play music and the kids get to dance around and have fun! The fountain was the favorite part for Cali!

Getting set up!

Here is are basement getting set up for the play area. I am so excited to have this extra space where I can dump all the toys. Plus I can do a little preschool down here!

The Salmon update.........

Yeah, I am so excited to be out of our tiny apartment and into what we call a house. We are happy to report that we are settled and most boxes are unpacked. Hopefully this home will be ours to rent for the next four years of our lives. More pics will be posted once I actually decorate inside.


Cali has been just growing more and more each day. She listens to her mother some of the time, but has gotten a lot better now that she understands more and now that I can understand what she is trying to tell me more. She loves to play with Isaac, more than I would like because she tends to smother him, but today it was sooo cute to see Isaac cracking up when Cali was dancing around the room. She loves to help her mom clean around the house and loves her new bed. Potty training is coming next and I am not sure I am quite ready for that one. Any suggestions?

Isaac had his six month check up and is a healthy 20 pounder who has recently gotten two bottom teeth within a week. They just popped right in and Isaac didn't seem to mind at all. It was amazing. He is quite a good little squirt and is now sleeping through most of the night with an actual bed time! Yes! Can I say halelujah!
